A new animated film adaptation of the classic basketball manga "SLAM DUNK," which was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from 1990 to 1996 and remains enormously popular to this day. Directed ・ and written by the original author, Inoue Takehiko, the film depicts the growth of the players in a high school basketball team.

The Shohoku High School basketball club members are voiced by Sogo Nakamura of "Blue Rock" as Ryota Miyagi, Jun Kasama of "Gundam Build Divers" as Hisashi Mitsui, Shinichiro Kamio of "Hypnosis Mike" as Kaede Ryukawa, Subaru Kimura of "Doraemon" as Hanamichi Sakuragi, Goken Akagi of "My Toei Animation, which also produced the 1990s TV anime version, and Dandelion Animation Studio, which produced "Akane Sasu Shoujo", will produce the animation.
