Description

It has been explained that the Buddhism brought to Japan was initially a tool for the ruling class (aristocrats, etc.) to control the state, or in other words, a shin-governed state. In contrast, artifacts excavated from archaeological sites in recent years have revealed that ancient Boso was the site of the flowering of Buddhism among the people.
From among the many ancient Buddhist-related cultural properties that have survived, this lecture will focus on materials that convey the prayers and thoughts of the people and common people, and will be explained in an easy-to-understand manner.
