6 Lecturer Profile
[Chisako Wakatake （ Chisako Wakatake ） ]
Born in 1954, Tono City, Iwate Prefecture. Graduated from the Faculty of Education, Iwate University. While working as a housewife, she continued to dream of becoming a writer since she was a child, and at the age of 55, began attending a novel writing course. The following year, in 2018, he won the Akutagawa Prize for the same work. In 2022, he won the Liberatur Prize, a prominent German literary award, for the German version of Jeder geht für sich allein （ Jürgen ・ Stalf's translation ）. His other books include "Kakkert der Dorudor" （ 2023 ） and his latest book is a collection of essays, "I Thought in the Kitchen" （ 2024 ）.
