Steelpan 2024 New Year's Concert to be held

January 28th \ \f1} Steelpan 2024 New Year's Concert will be held at Kisarazu Civic Hall.

"Steelpan" is a musical instrument made from drums that originated in the Caribbean island nation of Trinidad ・ Tobago.
The steelpan, also called a steel drum, is pitched by striking the bottom of the drum can with a hammer, but
unlike so-called drums, it can play melodies and harmonies.
You may have heard its tropical tone somewhere on TV or radio.

Steel orchestras, composed of steel pans in various registers from high to low, are the main event of Trinidad's
carnival.

Two steelpan
orchestras, the Boso Steel ・ Orchestra based in Kisarazu City and the Yokohama-based PAN VILLAGE ALL STARS ・ will perform everything from pop and Latin classics and film music to authentic Trinidadian calypso to
a varied repertoire of music.

This year's second concert will feature a special guest performance by Yellow Street Brass,
and the finale will feature a powerful performance by a 30-member steelpan orchestra and marching brass&drumline
